    Fun Bars

    These easy-to-make bars provide tummy-satisfying fiber…along with an extra nutritional kick fromChildren’s SPIRU-TEIN Junior!

    2/3 cup ground flaxseeds

    2 cups steel-cut oats

    1/3 cup toasted, no-salt sunflower seeds

    1/4 cup dried cranberries

    3 tbsp brown sugar

    1 tbsp SPIRU-TEIN Junior

    1 large egg, beaten

    1/2 cup maple syrup

    1/2 cup canola oil

    1. Preheat oven to 325°. Line a 13" x 9" metal baking pan with foil; grease foil.
    2. In a large bowl, combine flaxseeds, oats, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, sugar and SPIRU-TEIN. Stir in egg, maple syrup and oil until well mixed. Transfer to the prepared pan and with a wet hand, press into an even layer.
    3. Bake 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
    4. Use foil to transfer to a cutting board; with a serrated knife, cut lengthwise into 8 strips, then cut each in half.

    Yields: 16 bars
